Salary: $72,000/yr – $90,000/yr · Full-time

The Director is part of the senior leadership team of the Alan B. Miller Entrepreneurship Center at the William & Mary Raymond A. Mason School of Business. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director manages the portfolio of Miller Center resources, events, and programs that enable the delivery of our mission to catalyze entrepreneurial thinkers who change the world for the better.

The position is responsible for providing leadership across the following primary areas including, but not limited to:

  • Creation, planning, and execution of signature Entrepreneurship Center programs
  • Creation of new programs, micro-courses, certificates, and other innovative offerings.
  • Develop a network of candidates to be mentors and advisors for entrepreneurial incubators
  • Serving as the primary liaison between W&M and the economic development partners/funders.

The Director provides counsel on a broad range of entrepreneurial initiatives that support the vision that W&M is a place known for its entrepreneurial thinkers who address global challenges of consequence.

The position is part of a highly collaborative, student-oriented team environment and includes student staff and graduate assistant supervision alongside program strategy, design, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes daily high-touch professional communication and interaction with students, entrepreneurs, faculty, alumni, prospective students, and guests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, business, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience supporting entrepreneurial ventures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and persuasively to articulates a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the Entrepreneurial Center
  • Demonstrates innovative thinking and problem solving
  • Strong skills in data analysis and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies to accomplish goals and objectives
