Are you risking your 9-5 for a side hustle?

Starting a side hustle is becoming more and more common as the traditional 9-5 job falls out of style. It might seem like an ideal situation for those who want flexibility in their lives but keep their steady income from a full-time position. But what about your current employer? Do you have permission to run another business on company time? This event will help you understand whether or not it’s worth starting a side hustle (or continuing your current one) while still employed at your day job and how to protect yourself if you do decide to go down this risky road.

Nequosha Anderson is the owner of Anderson Law Firm PLLC and she’ll be discussing the following to help you understand where you stand as a “9-5-er” with a side hustle.

During the event, you’ll learn about the following:

  • Key things to look for and understand in employment agreements
  • Ownership of content
  • How to make money from your previous skills

About the Speaker:

Nequosha is the owner of Anderson Law Firm PLLC. She’s a licensed attorney and has been practicing in Florida since 2013.

After working as counsel for the State of Florida for a few years, she was completely over the daily grind of it all. She loved assisting her clients but needed a change. Not to mention, there’s no such thing as 9-5 as a government defense attorney. Life’s about getting really great at what you’re passionate about, then using your skills to make a positive impact on your community. For her, that was helping entrepreneurs.

For the past 8 years, she’s been assisting small business owners to create and protect their businesses beyond formation, including successfully protecting global multimillion-dollar brands. She has a strong desire to help small business owners succeed from their creation and beyond and knows that having a great attorney can make all the difference in the success of someone’s business.

She understands the world of small business as it’s a world she’s grown up in since the age of 14 working with her mom’s accounting practice and her dad’s trucking company. Supporting small businesses is in her blood and is what she’s called to do. Leveraging her government and business knowledge will be a huge asset to anyone’s business. She’s client-focused and results-driven, through and through.

Navigating the dos and don’ts of having a business and leveraging those assets can be very intimidating but she’s there to help! She prides herself on helping small businesses owners without all of the fluff and complications.
