Applications are open for the Dominion Energy Innovation Center (DEIC) summer accelerator cohort. DEIC’s focus is on energy and sustainability startups that are relevant to Dominion Energy. They’ve added a few additional partners to help broaden the scope this year. Last year DEIC had 7 companies and they’re hoping to find 6-8 this year. The program is ideal for a company that’s gone through another accelerator previously and is ready to work with large potential customers like Dominion.

The 18-week program provides 6-8 startup companies with networking space and intensive mentoring to help accelerate the growth of participating businesses. Companies will receive expert mentorship from a combination of current and former business leaders, including a dedicated mentor from Dominion Energy and one of their other corporate, government, or education partners. Startups also will receive additional help from specific subject matter experts in areas such as technical development, sales, marketing, finance, pricing, operations, talent development, and more.

At the conclusion of the program companies will participate in a demo day in front of Dominion Energy, potential investors, potential customers, and others. Dominion Energy or their corporate advisory partners may select specific companies for additional mentorship, pilots, or post-program investment.

The application deadline is March 17th.
